“I would never!”
“Well, it had to be done, so I did.”
“Wasn’t it gross?”
“A little, but it had to be done, and I was there, so I did it.”
“Don’t they have people for that?”
“Technically, yes, but like I said…”
“Yeah, yeah had to be done, so you did it. You aren’t going to do it again, like make a habit of it, are you?”
“I might if I need to.”
“But you’re the son of the big boss. Wouldn’t your dad flip if he found out that you had to take care of that?”
“I don’t think so. He expects me to treat the entire organization like it’s mine.”
“You think your dad would do the same thing? I mean, he would take care of that sort of stuff, too?”
“I know he would. No detail or job is too small for my dad. There’s no end product without taking care of all the tiny things that get you there.”
“I guess I could see that, but it’s just so gross. I would never.”
“Well, it had to be done, so I did.”

This story is based on Mark 9:30-37
They left that place and passed through Galilee. Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were, because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise.” But they did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask him about it. They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?” But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest. Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” NIV
